Introduction to Dialog for Information Professionals is
intended primarily for use by graduate students in
library and information science or other research-intensive
disciplines. The workbook introduces command language,
search strategy, proximity operators and truncation,
database construction and indexing. Supplementary
sections (available online only) provide additional
information on search techniques and advanced features
of the Dialog system.
